"Children of the Plumed Serpent is the first large-scale exploration of ancient kingdoms of southern Mexico and their patron deity, Quetzalcoatl, the human incarnation of the Plumed Serpent. Through codices, gold, ceramics, and textiles this exhibition traces the extensive trade networks that facilitated the spread of the International Style and pictographic writing system.
